These volunteer opportunities are for anyone anywhere.
Volunteering can be a healthy way to grieve, to pass on the memory of your child, and to have some time where your mind is not on your loss.
Volunteer Opportunities: Loss Related
1. Volunteer with the March of Dimes whose mission is to help babies survive.
2. Organize a remembrance event in your area. You may start by viewing the page for National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. There are any number of awareness or remembrance events you can organize in your local area.
3. Buy, Find or Create loss brochures. Make sure all hospitals, OBGYN offices, midwife offices, and perinatal/ultrasound centers have a good stock on these brochures. Make sure the brochures include a list of resources in the area. If they do not then you can compile a list yourself and at it too the brochures as an insert.
4. Make remberance jewelry, blankets, memory boxes or other times for those who experience a loss. You can distribute them yourselves or donate them to local hospitals.
5. Organize a sensitvity training regarding pregnancy and infant loss for professionals in your area.
6. Appreciate bosses and professors who helped during their student/employees loss. You can have an appreciation dinner or send printed awards/cards to people who meet your qualifications. This will help spread more empathy and kindness for those who experience a loss.
7. Organize a memorial wall in your area.
8. Complie a list of local resources (see #3). In addition to this you can talk with professionals in your area and get them to donate their services for those who experience a loss. Massage Therapists, Herbal Practicioners, Artists, and More can be very helpful and healing especially when free.
9. Help the cause of fetal burial rights.

11. Organize and/or help a local support group for pregnancy/infant loss.
12. Organize a free herb cabinet for those who have experienced a loss. Herbal supplements can help with many of the symtpoms of grief and loss.
Volunteer Opportunities: Not Loss Related With Kids
1. Volunteer at your local Humane Society.
2. Get in contact with the United Way and see if they can help you find a volunteer opportunity that suits you.
3. Get involved with a local food bank and feed the hungry.
4. There are many volunteer opportunities that help the environment. You can do so through an organization or on your own.
5. Start a local monthly potluck. All you need is a place to have it and people to invite.
6. Look up your local event calendar. They always need volunteers at local events.

8. Build houses with Habitat for Humanity.
9. Volunteer at your church or place of worship.
10. Perform volunteer web design.
11. Offer time at the local senior center.

Volunteer Opportunities: Not Loss Related Without Kids
1. Be a mentor to youth in your area.
2. Advocate for children by volunteering with CASA.
3. Use your craft skills by volunteering for Heavenly Angels in Need.
4. Help children learn how to read by being involved with the SMART program.
5. Have un with kids by offering your time with local Boy and Girls Scouts.
6. Volunteer at local schools. Pre-school through College.
